For over 35 years, Forrest Williams has been part of the Silicon Valley economic engine as it helped power the region and the nation’s economy.  I’ve been an engineer with IBM, Boeing and General Electric.  I know what it takes to turn an idea into a product and a concept into a job.

As a Planning Commissioner and City Councilmember, Forrest Williams has a track record of helping local businesses expand, create jobs and prosper.  He has a track record of improving our local infrastructure to ease the burdens of traffic and congestion that were hampering local businesses.   Just think back to when Highway 101 was two lanes from south San Jose to Morgan Hill and the nightmare traffic we experienced.  Forrest Williams was on the Board that oversaw the expansion of Highway 101

for the health of our families and businesses.
In the challenging economic times we have today, Forrest sees Silicon Valley once again helping to lead the region and nation out of these unhappy times.   He pledges to work to invigorate our growing “Green” Tech sector and work to help foster those businesses that want to foster green jobs.  As he has allready done already as a San Jose City Council member, He wants to help our Bio Tech community continue to grow.
We simply cannot cut programs enough to balance our budget in the long run.   Efficiencies and cuts will have to be made, and Forrest is not afraid to make them as he has done before, but to truly improve our economy we need to foster new jobs and enhance critical business sectors.
